We take on a narrow set of work: sites, small applications, assistant setups, and compact web products. Everything we ship is something a small team can run without us, and everything we hand over comes with the source, the accounts, and notes on how it fits together.

Most of what we build starts as somebody's recurring annoyance. A booking process that takes three emails. A spreadsheet nobody trusts. A site that was fine in 2019. Those are good projects because the finished state is obvious to everyone.

We also look after sites we did not build. A cleanup after a compromise, a WordPress site that has nobody maintaining it, or a move to hosting that suits the business better. That is often how a longer relationship starts.

Some of what we build is our own. Untimer, fastf, and Simple Dash are our products and tools, run by the same people who would build yours. Client work comes first, but the things we run ourselves are where a good deal of what we know comes from.

• Scope is written down before work starts, and so is the price.
• You talk to the person doing the work, not an account manager.
• Progress is visible while it happens. There is no reveal at the end.
• Accounts and domains are created in your name. You own what you paid for.
• When something goes wrong we tell you what happened and what it costs to fix.

We do not take on large multi team programmes, ongoing paid advertising, or work that depends on inventing numbers we cannot measure. We also turn down projects where the scope is still a guess, because those are expensive for everyone. If that is where you are, a short paid discovery is usually cheaper than a badly scoped build.

Visual design happens in close collaboration with Cristo Cola Studios, a film and design studio. That is where the type, the motion, and the restraint on this site come from.
